Subscription Terms

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read these terms carefully before subscribing to 876BOX services.


  1. SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES

1.1 Monthly Surprise Box
The Monthly Surprise Box is a recurring subscription delivering authentic Jamaican products monthly. Each box contains:

  • 5 core essential items
  • 2–4 rotating surprise items
  • 1 free gift

Subscription continues monthly until cancelled by you.

1.2 Build Your Own Box (BYOB) Subscription
BYOB subscriptions allow you to select your own items based on a token allocation system (Mini, Classic, or Elite tiers). You receive:

  • First box: Full price
  • From second box onwards: 5% discount automatically applied

Subscription continues monthly with your selected items until cancelled.


  1. BILLING & PAYMENT

2.1 Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed monthly on the same date you first subscribed. For example, if you subscribe on the 15th of the month, you will be billed on the 15th of every subsequent month.

2.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment via credit/debit cards processed securely through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee each billing cycle.

2.3 Failed Payments
If a payment fails:

  • You will be notified by email
  • We will attempt to process payment again
  • After 2 failed attempts, your subscription will be suspended until payment is updated

2.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price increase. The new price will apply from your next billing cycle.


  1. MODIFYING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION

3.1 Changing BYOB Items
If you have a BYOB subscription, you can change your selected items before each billing cycle by logging into your account and visiting My Account → My Custom Box.

IMPORTANT: Changes must be submitted at least 5 days before your next billing date. Changes requested after this deadline will take effect from the following month.

3.2 Pausing Your Subscription

Monthly Surprise Box: You can pause your subscription through My Account → Subscriptions. Pause restrictions:

  • Maximum pause duration: 2 months per pause
  • Maximum pauses per year: 2
  • Pausing extends any minimum commitment period

BYOB Subscriptions: Pausing is not available. You must cancel if you wish to stop deliveries.


  1. CANCELLATION POLICY

4.1 How to Cancel
To cancel your subscription, email us at info@876box.com with your name and order details.

4.2 Cancellation Deadline
IMPORTANT: You must cancel more than 5 days before your next billing date.

If you cancel within 5 days of your billing date, you will be charged for that month’s box and cancellation will take effect from the following month.

4.3 BYOB Subscription Cooling-Off Period
If you cancel a BYOB subscription with the 5% discount:

  • You cannot resubscribe at the discounted rate for 3 months
  • You can still purchase one-time BYOB boxes at full price during this period
  • After 3 months, you may resubscribe and receive the 5% discount again

4.4 Cancellation Confirmation
You will receive email confirmation when your cancellation has been processed, including:

  • Effective cancellation date
  • Details of any remaining deliveries you will receive
  • Information about cooling-off periods (if applicable)

  1. DELIVERY TERMS

5.1 Shipping
All boxes are shipped directly from Jamaica via registered airmail with tracking. Typical delivery time is 7–10 days to UK and EU addresses.

5.2 Shipping Costs
Tracked shipping is included in your subscription price. There are no additional shipping charges or hidden customs fees.

5.3 Address Changes
You can update your delivery address in My Account → Addresses. Address changes must be made at least 5 days before your next billing date to apply to the upcoming delivery.


  1. REFUND & RETURN POLICY

6.1 No Returns
As our products are perishable food items sourced and packed to order in Jamaica, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on boxes that have already been dispatched.

6.2 Damaged or Incorrect Items
We will always make it right if something goes wrong:

  • Damaged items: Email a clear photo to info@876box.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will replace the item or provide account credit.
  • Incorrect items: Contact us immediately and we will resolve the issue.
  • Non-delivery: If your tracked box does not arrive, we will investigate and arrange a replacement.

6.3 Billing Errors
If you are incorrectly charged, contact us at info@876box.com and we will correct the error and issue a refund if applicable.


  1. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY & SUBSTITUTIONS

7.1 Surprise Box Variations
Monthly Surprise Box contents may vary due to product availability in Jamaica. We reserve the right to substitute items of equal or greater value.

7.2 BYOB Substitutions
If an item you selected for your BYOB box is unavailable, we will contact you for approval before making any substitution.

7.3 Product Quality
All products have a minimum 6-month shelf life on arrival and are sourced from trusted Jamaican suppliers.


  1. YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS

You have the right to cancel your subscription at any time in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined in Section 4.

As our products are perishable food items, they are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period for distance purchases under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email. Continued use of the subscription service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
